Kangujam Chinglensana (Hockey Player) feted by IPR Minister
Information and Public Relations Minister Shri Thongam Biswajit Singh today feted Shri Kangujam Chinglensana , the lone player from the State to play in the Indian Hockey team in the recently held Hockey Asia Cup which was held at Dhaka, Bangladesh. The Indian team won gold in the tournament after 10 years.
The simple felicitation programme was held at the Minister’s New Secretariat Office chamber this evening. In the recent tournament, Chinglensana scored the winning goal against arch rival Pakistan and was adjudged Man of the Match.
Presenting a memento and a traditional shawl to the star Manipur player, Minister Biswajit wished Chinglensana all success for his future.
Chinglensana, who hails from Bashikhong Wangkhei Loumanbi, made his debut for the Indian team in 2012. He started playing from Bashikong Meira Club.
