The youngest child of the family. Eldest brother Umakanta and sister Omila are National Football players.
Umakanta was is India's U-14, U-15, U-16 and U-17 player and represented India at various International level.
Omila represented Manipur and played at the national level.
Thereafter, Amarjit also has a keen interest in football. India's Midfielder in the FIFA U-17 World Cup Thounaojam Jeakson is one of his cousin. Jeakson's father and Amarjit's mother is child of a same mother.
Both Amarjit and Jeakson played football together from the early childhood. Their coach was the father of Jeakson, Th Deven, who was a national player of football and basketball.
Amarjit's brother Umakanta and Jeakson's brother studied together at St Stephen School Chandigarh. They also played football together.
With the information from their brothers Amarjit and Jeakson, took part in the Trial Selection of Chandigarh Football Academy.
Amarjit and Jeakson started playing football in Chandigarh while reading in class V in the year 2011.
Before moving to Chandigarh, both took part only once in a district level football tournament in Manipur.
Amarjit, during his training in Chandigarh, got the selection of All India Football Federation for India's Under-14 football team in 2015.
From 2015, he was a part of India's U-15, U-16 team and played in Germany, France, Brazil, Russia, South Africa, Italy, Columbia, Iran and Iraq.
