Australia to send a strong team for Manipur for 9th Manipur Polo International 2015

The 9th Manipur Polo International 2015 being held from November 22 to 29 at the Mapal Kangjeibung as a part of the Manipur Sangai Festival will be an event to be remembered.
The Australian team having announced a strong team of Jack Archibald, Henry Bell, Bobby Miller, Will White and Robert Archibald as the Coach, polo enthusiasts of Manipur will witness exciting matches.
The United States Polo Association has also announced a strong and competitive team.
Jack Archibald - Part of Australian team for 9th Manipur Polo International 2015
Born on August 24, 1989 Jack Archibald is from a family of polo players. The third generation polo player, Jack is the younger brother of Robert Archibald who is the coach of the Australian team. Having played in England, Argentina, South Africa and Australia, Jack is looking forward to getting here in Imphal experiencing India and its polo.
“I am very excited about being selected as member of the Australian team for the Manipur Polo International 2015. I am looking forward to getting back to the Home of Polo and having a lot of fun. I grew up riding and stick and balling and finally got a chance to play a tournament when I was 16 years old.
Henry Bell - Part of Australian team for 9th Manipur Polo International 2015
Born on July 27, 1984 Henry Bell is a young man to watch. Coming to India for the first time, he too is a proud third generation polo player. My father, His grandfather and grand have all played the game.
“I am third generation player along with my brother Sinclair. Huge honour to be selected for the Australian team. I have ridden all my life. I am in fact Jack Archibald and Rob Archibald’s cousin. I am excited to come for the first time,” says Henry.
Will White - Part of Australian team for 9th Manipur Polo International 2015
Born on October 22, 1988, Will White is also from a polo playing family. His father and grandfather are proud of Henry who is keeping the family tradition of the game. “I am a third generation polo player. We live on our family farm bell trees. I am very excited to be selected for the Australian team. Our tour to Manipur will be great fun and we are all looking toward to it.
“I have been lucky enough to play all over the world. I have played in the Australian high goal, the English high goal and some high level tournaments in Argentina. I started playing polo when I was eight years old on our family farm and have been riding all my life,” says Will.
Bobby Miller - Part of Australian team for 9th Manipur Polo International 2015
Born on February 1, 1984 Bobby Miller is a first generation polo player in his family. “I am honoured to be selected to represent my country. I have played British Polo Day, Garrangula Tournament, Ellerston Spring Tournament and Gundalong Polo in the Paddock. I hope to meet great people of the host state Manipur and other players from the rest of the world. I will be an opportunity as I started playing 2 years ago,” says Bobby.
Robert Archibald - Part of Australian team for 9th Manipur Polo International 2015
Born on January 12, 1984, the highest goal in the tournament so far, Robert considers lucky enough to play in the Queens and Gold Cup Tournaments in England, the Deauville Good Cup in France and many high level tournaments in Argentina and also the Chile open.
“My father and grandfathers both played so I am a third generation polo player. I am very excited to be involved in the Australian team that is touring India. We are all looking forward to the tour. I started playing when I was 12 years old. We are all very much looking forward to coming to Manipur.
We are all very excited and it will be an honour to be playing there in the oldest and historic living pologround in the world. I have ridden all my life and it is a huge honour to be selected for the Australian team,” says Robert who comes as the Coach of the team.
