The Value of self-confidence

Self-confidence comes in handy to all in life be it an adult or a child or a student. Everybody has lot of tasks to complete and self-confidence is necessary to perform these tasks successfully.

First thing of confidence is being calm and make an analysis of yourself to know what your weakness is and what your strong point is. Purpose and use of confidence is to maximize your actual ability and future potential.

Take the case of a school going children with so many subjects they they have to go through, a lot of stress - class tests, debates, term papers, assignments, presentations... the list seems unending.

Having ample self-confidence helps students undergo the stress of school and college education, thereby making a strong foundation to build their future.

Self-confident students are able to pay more attention to the teacher in the classroom as they develop an inherent will to succeed and outdo others. They are more focused and do not hesitate to ask questions. Asking question in the classroom require certain courage to stand up and interrupt the teacher, to ask a question of which he/she is not clear of, and it requires self-confidence to do that.

On the other hand, a student lacking self-confidence might not stand up and ask the teacher to explain once more even though he is struggling to get the concept, right? This creates obstacles to their learning, as many things remain uncleared to them that require further guidance by the teacher.

CULTIVATE SELF BELIEF AND CONFIDENCE

You are unlikely to overcome an obstacle if you don’t believe that you are capable of overcoming it. Your doubts will only paralyze you, and focus you on problems and not the solution you need to get the outcomes you want. You must therefore develop the necessary confidence and self-belief that will help you to think for more effective about the obstacles and problems in your life.

A powerful way to enable others to reach their goals is to ensure that they have self-confidence to do so. Self-confidence first, then the rest will follow. When one has the self-confidence, then he/she is capable of accomplish something, then developing the skills to do so becomes an accessible course of action. Self-Confidence gives rise to opportunity.

Speak up! If you aren’t used to saying how you feel, it will take some courage to begin. It will take special effort to force yourself to speak up. But, after you do it a few times it will become easier for you to express yourself. Many people who have achieved a great deal in life are those who had to make themselves do it. They decided it was not good to stay lost in silent world.

Public speaking is a great example. Many people have the knowledge and skill to write a speech that an audience would enjoy, and when practiced in private, may even do a decent job. But, put them in front of an audience or even suggest the idea and they quickly succumb to feelings of self-doubt and worry. Even if you have intelligent ideas and significant perspectives to share, when it comes to meetings or interviews, your mind would go blank and you’ll forget things that you were preparing yourself for for a long time. This can happen when you are lacking self-confidence within yourself.

Why do you hold yourself back? What do you tell yourself in to keep quiet? So, self-confidence is most effective to gain through ourselves. Face your fears...We should try our best to not let fear be an obstacle to our success. But overcome them and lay them as a stepping step for our success.
