Three children by Mohan Bhagwat

A few days back Dr Mohan Bhagwat said, a family should have more than two children to ensure the survival of society. Speaking in a function at Nagpur the RSS chief said the decline in population is a matter of concern.
Quoting Population Science Mohan ji said that the fertility rate should not come down below 2.1. When the fertility rate falls below 2.1 that society vanishes from earth. That society wipes out itself even when there is no crisis; in that way many languages, cultures and societies have vanished.
On the other hand China is growing old - its aged population above 60 is now more than 25 percent. By 2040 it is projected that people over 60 years of age will be 28 percent of the total population. This is because of their strict population policy, longer life expectancy and declining fertility rates.
Today China is facing a humongous problem of having an ageing population; in fact China has become old and lethargic because of the impact of its long term one child policy for each couple. Now they have modified it rather than relaxed it as they need young people to take the future responsibilities and remain competitive with the world.
The one child policy was an undemocratic demographic program in China which was enforced in the 80’s and continued till 2016. Realizing the futile repercussions China has changed its population policy. At present a couple can have three children. This policy was announced on 31 May 2021.
This announcement was made when China’s mainland had only 12 million births in 2020 - lowest since 1960. The decrease in the birth rate plus fast ageing population made China change its policy.
We must anticipate one thing that in the near future the real all-round competition will be between Bharat and China. The two will decide the fate of the world. In the decades to come particularly after 2047 the competition between the two largest countries (in terms of population) will become fiercer.
The western civilization is on the wane and it is followed by America. The second half of the 21st century belongs to Asia. The two old(civilizational) Asian giants will clash for hegemony and supremacy.
The West and Whites are eagerly waiting and watching; they know it is bound to happen. The reinvented and rejuvenated old civilizations will change the whole global dynamics. The changes will encompass futuristic AI, robotics, cyber-war, space-aeronautics, GM foods, human-longevity science, cash-less economics, human-happiness-index and what not?.
The message is quite clear from Dr.Bhagwat that we need to keep our country young and energetic with the pride of past glory. Only a strong and vibrant country can successfully compete with the extremely competitive world. At present more than ten percent of the Indian population is above 60 years of age - that is about 150 million people. We need to revitalize and energize our population.
Prime Minister Modi ji also once expressed his concern about the changing demographic growth in Bharat. Recently the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh Shri Chandra Babu Naidu also talked about a law to incentivize families with more children.
Some leaders in Manipur too have already given advice to the people as Mohan ji did. In fact our population growth rate is less and our fertility rate is also hovering around 2 which is less than the required 2.1. At the same time we are also fighting among ourselves and killing one another.
Mohan ji’s perspective is truly national; what he says is -if I understand correctly - that Bharat should always remain youthful and energetic. An aged nation can’t compete with other younger nations. Moreover the civilization and culture of this ancient land can be protected and promoted efficiently by youthful energy.
Despite foreign invasions and cultural intrusions this ancient land still stands with its glories primarily because of the continuity of the same stock of people. The civilizational values and cultural heritage of this vast sub-continent remains intrinsically firm and deep rooted.
The population of the same shock of people still holds the roots. The same tradition, heritage and glory must continue. For this the same stock of people must continue and excel in all fields.
China has changed its demographic policy. Chinese are not fools. Now their population policy is 3 children per couple or family. This policy was started in 2021. They have now realized that they had committed a blunder by adopting a one child norm in the 80’s.
Considering the concerns and opinions it is high time for Bharat to have a new population policy. The family planning program has become so successful in the South in the last 50 years. So, now the southern States must be encouraged to have more children and more incentives for that.
And ‘BIMARU’ and Cow-Belt states must be strictly restrained in reproduction. On the other hand affluent States like Gujarat may be allowed to procreate more talented kids like Ambanis, Adanis , Modis and Shahs. We need genius people to compete with the world.
In the national interest I too really desire to have more than 2 offspring but there is a technical constraint - the machine is working but the incubator.
