Career in law through CLAT 2025

We have seen how lawyers play an active role in the judiciary. The person in black coats is seen everywhere and whenever we see a person with black coats then we think of law and lawyers. Studying law and becoming a lawyer is a profession followed by many in our country. During the time of independence we have seen that many of our great leaders studied law.

We can study law after passing our senior secondary but in the past law was studied after passing graduation in any discipline. One of the best options at the present time is to appear in CLAT and get admissions in leading law institutions of the country .

The Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) is a national level entrance exam for admissions to undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) law programmes offered by 24 National Law Universities in India.

CLAT is organized by the Consortium of National Law Universities, comprising representative universities and several affiliate universities and organisations also use the CLAT exam for admissions and recruitment respectively.

The exams schedule has been announced for the admissions related to next academic sessions. All admissions to the 5-year integrated LL.B. and LL.M. programmes that commence in the Academic Year 2024-2025 shall be through the CLAT 2025

Online applications started from 15th July and it would continue till 15th October. Aspirants should fill in the details as soon as possible to avoid last hour rush. The offline test would be held on 1st December in different exam centres from all over India.

There are different eligibility requirements for the UG Programme and PG Programme. The online application fee for both UG and PG is 4000 and 3500 for SC, ST, PwD and BPL candidates.

The UG-CLAT 2025 would focus on evaluating the comprehension and reasoning skills and abilities of candidates. Overall, it is designed to be a test of aptitude and skills that are necessary for a legal education rather than prior knowledge, though prior knowledge occasionally may be useful to respond to questions in the Current Affairs including General Knowledge section.

The UG-CLAT 2025 shall be a 2-hour test, with 120 multiple-choice questions carrying 1 mark each. There shall be negative marking of 0.25 marks for every wrong answer. These questions would be divided across the following 5 subjects that includes English Language; Current Affairs, including General Knowledge; Legal Reasoning; Logical Reasoning and Quantitative Techniques

The PG-CLAT 2025 will feature an emphasis on the comprehension abilities of the students. The first section would include 120 objective-type questions carrying 1 mark each. There shall be a negative marking of 0.25 marks for every wrong answer.

The paper will be based on the mandatory subjects of the undergraduate program and include Constitutional Law, Jurisprudence, Administrative Law, Law of Contract, Torts, Family Law, Criminal Law, Property Law, Company Law, Public International Law, Tax Law, Environmental Law, and Labour & Industrial Law.
