If studies are to be believed, a report from LinkedIn predicts that the skills required for jobs globally will change at least 65% by 2030 due to AI. In a joint survey of large companies, expertise in AI and machine learning emerged as the top two fastest growing job roles.
Talking about India, in the last two years India and similar countries have seen a doubling of job postings mentioning AI or Generative AI.
Understand its importance from the fact that now AI training is being given even during school education. In such a situation, for the youth who are going to graduate and are confused about the area of specialization, or want to do ups killing or want to switch jobs, learning new skills related to the field of AI will be a strategic and beneficial step.
What are the skills of AI
Machine Learning (ML): Expertise in ML is in high demand. In Deep Learning, Reinforcement Learning and Natural Language Processing (NLP)This skill proves particularly useful.
While searching while writing the article, 16000 ML Engineer job postings were visible on LinkedIn and 8000 on Indeed. Data science requires feeding data into AI models. For that, data visualization, analysis and visualization are important and require experts.
Cloud Computing
As AI models become more complex, the ability to leverage cloud platforms for training and their practical use is becoming increasingly important. That's why Demand for skills has increased in platforms like AWS, Azure and GCP.
Generative AI: With the advent of tools like ChatGPT and Dell-E2, there is a market for skills related to the use and management of generative AI models for creative content creation, marketing and product development.
What roles will be in demand?
Knowledge of programming languages like Python, R and Julia will be required more and more. Whereas, Robotics and AI Engineer, Data Analyst Manager, ML Engineer, Data Engineer etc.
The roles of others will become important. Along with this there are some emerging roles.
Business Intelligence Engineer
A business intelligence (BI) engineer is trained in seeing patterns and interdependencies in different features of a dataset.
Qualifications: Educational background in engineering, computer science or related fields, practical experience in data analysis and familiarity with web-based tools required.
AI Software Engineers
The architecture of AI applications is usually designed by AI software engineers.
Ability: Bachelor's degree in related fields with programming and analytical skills is required.
Whereas a certificate in AI or Data Science will improve job prospects. Prompt Engineer/Researcher Prompt engineers primarily develop and refine AI generated text, allowing the AI model to respond accurately and meaningfully to user instructions.
