Sakora (Water Bowl) Abhiyan at Manipur University
On the occasion of World Water Day, Students for Development (SFD) Manipur organized a "Sakora (Water Bowl) Abhiyan" at Manipur University Campus. This thoughtful initiative aims to provide water to birds and animals, addressing the challenges they face during the summer months due to rising temperatures, urbanization, and industrialization.
Understanding the needs of voiceless creatures who often suffer in silence, SFD Manipur took this significant step to support and nurture wildlife. In a step towards sustainability, participants used clay bowls (sakoras) and repurposed plastic bottles to create water stations for the animals. This thoughtful initiative not only helps the voiceless creatures but also spreads awareness about environmental conservation and sustainable living.

Through this initiative, SFD Manipur not only contributes to the well-being of birds and animals but also inspires the community to adopt sustainable practices and foster a harmonious coexistence with nature.
