Site Inauguration of KKT & CMS at Uyumpok Campus
Today, the 19th Feb 2022, the site inauguration program of Kanglei Khongyang Thijinyon (KKT), an advanced R&D institute of Science & Technology and Centre for Meeteism Studies (CMS), a research center on the culture & traditions of Meetei was conducted at the Uyumpok Campus, Imphal East.
KKT is an joint initiatives of The Longjam Trust, Khumbong and The Meitram Foundation, Imphal while CMS is a initiatives of The Meitram Foundation, Imphal. Due to the ongoing pandemic, the program was attended by invitees and members of KKT and CMS, only.
Mr. T Phulen Meitei, Director, Department of Youth Affairs & Sports, Govt of Manipur grace the function as the Chief Guest and Mr. Yangoi Peeba, Yaibilen, Keibi and Mr. Thangjam Enaocha, Pradhan, Uyumpok GP 3/8 attended the gathering as the Guests of Honour. Mr Meitram Udoi Luwang, Chairman and Mr. Longjam Nilamani Singh were also present as the President of the program.
Mr Meitei mentioned about the need of the revival of our Meetei culture and the importance of herbs, medicinal plants in our state. He further elaborate about the involvement of youth is any activities towards the development of the state. Mr Peeba highlighted about the traditional changes happening since many decades.

Mr Enaocha expresses his full support towards the development of these two prestigious institute in his locality. Mr Udoi talked about the involvement of The Meitram Foundation in setting up these two institute while Mr Nilamani mention about The Longjam Trust aims and objectives towards the development of the state.
A glimpse about the journey of KKT was presented by Dr Longjam Jaideva Singh, Ex-Director, KKT. He talk about the hardship faced while setting up this institute from a noble iead till a full-fledged campus. Dr Meitram Niraj Luwang highlighted about the Center for Meeteism Studies and its aim and objectives.
The vote of thanks was proposed by Ms Sonia Meitram and the overall program was conducted by Ms Chingkheinganbi Devi. The program was concluded with an in-program lunch.
