IBSD celebrated National Science Day 2022
“Integrated Approach in Science and Technology for a Sustainable Future”
Institute of Bioresources and Sustainable Development (IBSD), Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science and Technology, Govt. Of India celebrated National Science Day on 28th February 2022.
This programme is organized in inculcate scientific temperament to the students, society and scientific fraternity. IBSD organised the program virtually with participation of the scientists, students and researchers from different institutes together to celebrate the “Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav”.
Prof Pulok K Mukherjee, Director IBSD highlighted the activities of IBSD on which the institute has been working to contemplate the theme 'Integrated Approach in Science and Technology for a Sustainable Future'.
In this programme Dr US N Murty Director, National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research, Guwahati delivered a talk highlighting the importance of the traditional knowledge and its possible application using scientific intervention for societal benefit and Dr M. K. Bhattacharyya Professor, School of Life Sciences, University of Hyderabad had delivered the talk on ‘War against nemesis malaria: finding the Achiles’ heel’.
IBSD organized this program under the leadership of Prof. Pulok K. Mukherjee, Director, IBSD, Imphal to promote science and encourage the students for their active involvement to develop a scientific culture.
Many students from schools and colleges, research scholars and scientist had participated in this event.
