MoU with Regional Centre for Biotechnology, Delhi
IBSD, Imphal signed MoU with Regional Centre for Biotechnology, New Delhi for joint Ph.D. programme for the students of NER.
Institute of Bioresources and Sustainable Development (IBSD), Imphal is collaborating with the Regional Centre for Biotechnology, New Delhi, an academic institution established by the Department of Biotechnology, Govt. of India with regional and global partnerships synergizing with the programmes of UNESCO as a Centre.
Main focus of Regional Centre for Biotechnology is to provide training, education and conduct innovative research at the interface of multiple disciplines to create high quality human resource in disciplinary and interdisciplinary areas of life sciences and biotechnology.
IBSD has initiated many programmes for quality training and development of human resources of NER under the leadership of Prof. Pulok K. Mukherjee, Director, IBSD, Imphal. In this context, the MoU signed between IBSD and Regional Centre for Biotechnology will be very helpful for capacity building with registration of students from IBSD at Regional Centre for Biotechnology, New Delhi.
This programme was attended by Dr. Sudhanshu Vrati, Executive Director, Dr. R.P. Roy, Dean, Regional Centre for Biotechnology, Prof. Pulok K. Mukherjee, Director, IBSD, scientists and staffs from both the institutes. This collaborative effort will help in capacity building and career development of students of NER in future.
