IBSD, Imphal signed MoU with CSIR-Institute of Himalayan Bioresource Technology (IHBT), Palampur
Institute of Bioresources and Sustainable Development, Imphal collaborate with CSIR-Institute of Himalayan Bioresource Technology, Palampur for the development of bioresources of North Eastern Region.
Institute of Bioresources and Sustainable Development (IBSD), Imphal signed MoU with CSIR-Institute of Himalayan Bioresource Technology (IHBT), Palampur for research on bioresource development to promote bioeconomy through translational research. CSIR-IHBT has a mission “to discover, innovate, develop and disseminate the processes, products and technologies from Himalayan bioresources for society, industry, environment and academia”.
IBSD is working on development of bioresources of NER for boosting the bioeconomy of this region under the leadership of Prof. Pulok K. Mukherjee, Director, IBSD, Imphal.
This MoU was signed between two institutes for synergizing interdisciplinary research to promote the bioresources of NER. The MoU was signed at CSIR-IHBT, Palampur during National Technology Day programme.
This collaboration will help in development of bioresources and capacity building of scientists/ students of NER in future. During the programme, Dr. Sanjay Kumar, Director, CSIR-IHBT, scientists, scholars, staff were present and Prof. Pulok K. Mukherjee, Director, IBSD, Imphal delivered the Technology Day lecture.
