The Manipur Soccer Futsal Association (MANISFA) is happy to annouce that the Manipur state team has secured the runners up position in the recently held 16th Junior National Futsal Championship 2024-25. The tournament was held at Ahmedabad, Gujarat from the 4th to the 6th of Jan 2025.

In the final Match of the under-19 age category Manipur was edged out by Assam 5 goals to 4. In a keenly constested final match Manipur’s Sanabam Rajprem scored 3 goals while Javed Akhar scored one goal.

However, Assam edged out Manipur by one goal margin. Manipur had the upper hand all throughout the match but were unlucky at the end and lost the match to Assam. Manipur’s Sanabam Rajprem and Javed Akhtar were awarded the best player of the tournament.

Manipur team was managed and led by renowned referee Shree Laishram Lokendra Singh as the Coach and Manager.

In these torrid times faced by the State, the boys showed extreme courage and resilience to demonstrate their love for the game and to reach the final of a National level tournament. Manipur Soccer Futsal Association (MANISFA) congratulates the team on this splendid achievement during the current difficult times.
