Licypriya ready to inaugurate new house for Totomsana Nongshaba

Licypriya aims to build 100 houses for the victims of Manipur Violence.

12 years old Globally renowned Climate & Environmental Activist Licypriya Kangujam is ready to inaugurate the new house she promised to build for Totomshana Nongshaba of Heirok on 26th July. She aims to build 100 homes for the victims of the ongoing Manipur Violence and other underprivileged poor people of her birthplace Manipur.

Licypriya will dedicate Totomsana’s house to the People of Manipur on this day. The event will be graced by Dr Tirupati Panigrahi, Chairman of Hi-Tech Group as Chief Guest, and various other foreign dignitaries & local eminent personalities. Licypriya built this house 20 days after the date of the promise. The house has tile Flooring, a modular kitchen, false ceilings, and a toilet.

Licypriya appeal to the people of Manipur to attend the inauguration function at 9 am on 26 July. She told the media that she is taking this initiative aftermath of the recent Manipur hailstorm which is one of the major impacts of the global climate crisis. “I am not just building homes, I am building the hope for the People of Manipur”, Licypriya told the media.

“Not just for the climate victims and the poor, I will build houses for those victims of recent Manipur Violence who are currently staying in various relief camps. This will build hope and conRidence to bring back peace in the state. It’s not the time just to wait for the action of the Government. Everyone has some responsibility”, she further added.

The house was constructed with a budget of Rs 3 lakhs in 20 days. A sum of Rs 17,835 was donated online by her well-wishers.
