Curfew announced : Measures to combat COVID infection in Manipur

ORDERRS
In continuation and also partial modification of order of even No. dated 29/12/2021, the undersigned, in exercise of the powers conferred under Section 20(2)(a) of the Disaster Management Act, 2005 in his capacity as Chairperson, the State Executive Committee of the State Disaster Management Authority, in view of huge increase of infection by the highly mutant Covid-19 variant B.1.1529 (Omicron) in the country, hereby orders the following with immediate effect:
i. Night curfew from 9 P.M. to 5 A.M. shall be enforced strictly.
i. Social gathering is allowed subject to ensuring that Covid Appropriate Behaviors i.e. wearing of Mask, maintaining physical distance are followed by all present in the venue. The gathering
should be preferably in open halls and spaces. In case, it is held in enclosed spaces or halls, the number of people inside should not be more than 50% capacity of the hall/space.
i. Micro containment zones shall be strictly monitored by dedicated Police Department teams and Health Department teams. DCs to involve the local Clubs local bodies with specific jurisdictions.
iv. Fresh cases of Covid-19 infections shall be isolated as soon as possible. V. Health Department shall scale up vaccination, contact tracing and testing by providing additional manpower, mobility support and IEC-Advocacy.
vi. All establishments of Print and Electronic Media and essential services and movement of their personnel are allowed during curfew.
vii. Revised list of activities permitted in the state is at Annexure.
2. Deputy Commissioners shall issue necessary orders and Superintendents of Police shall take necessary action to implement the orders strictly.
3. High Court may issue orders in respect of Judicial Courts.
