"SIROI (A Manipuri Cultural Evening)"

SIGMA, an independent body for Manipuris at Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore is organising "THABAL CHONGBA" in aid of "SIROI (A Manipuri Cultural Evening)" on the eve of the grand Yaoshang (Holi) festival.

Venue : Nandan Football Ground, Austin Town (Bangalore)
Date : 11th March 2006
Time : 5:30-10:00(sharp)

"SIROI (A Manipuri Cultural Evening)" is a Manipuri cultural program to be organised by SIGMA on 13th of August, the Patriot's Day of Manipur with the theme "Oneness Through Cultures".

It is aimed at creating awareness of the rich cultures of Manipur amongst other communities. An embroidery of the unique traditions of the various communities in Manipur is planned at the premises of SAC hall, Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore.

The following are the proposed programmes to be performed by competent Manipuri artists who have had well-known exposure to international platforms

a. Pungcholom,
b. Pena,
c. Khamba Thoibi Jagoi,
d. Maibi Jagoi.,
e. Rashlila,
f. Bamboo dance,
g. Naga Dance,
h. Kuki Dance,
i. Thangta/Martial arts,
j. Entertainments (Musics)
