Centre-IM talks to start this morning

Dimapur, May 31 2010: The much hyped talks between the government of India and the NSCN-IM will start on Tuesday at Kohima.

Earlier it was sheduled for Monday.

Reports said that the talks will be held at The Heritage, Old DC Bungalow in the heart of Kohima.

According to reports received, New Delhi's interlocutor and former chief secretary of Nagaland RS Pandey, Ajit Lal and Nabin Verma will represent the Government of India.

NSCN-IM general secretary Thuingaleng Muivah, the outfit's Steering Committee convenor V.S Atem, Q Tuccu, Tongmeth, Dr Somba, Rev Puni, Zarse, 'Lieut.Col' Victor, Makhriesii and Imcha Longkumer will represent the NSCN-IM.

The talk will begin from 10:30 am.

It is not clear how many days the talks will continue, but reports said that the duration of talks will depend on the outcome of Tuesday's talk.

Sources said that tomorrow's talks will also try to sort out the present impasse arising out of Th Muivah's intended visit to Manipur.
