Imphal, May 08 2010: Concerned over the killing of two youths and injuring many people at Mao Gate in Senapati district of Manipur on May 6, the Centre for Organization Research and Education (CORE) on Saturday demanded the government to institute a Commission of inquiry regarding the incident.

Showing empathy to the death of the youths and extending compassion to the injured people in the incident, it asserted that CORE is deeply concerned over the death of two students, Meli Chakho (19) and Loshu (19) and injuring many people on May 6 at Mao Gate, Senapati district.

It then questioned that 'who will be responsible for the loss of civilian lives and injuries?' The CORE further appeals to every section of society to maintain peace and tranquility in Manipur.
