Guwahati, February 16: MSCP has demanded that the clash that broke out between its workers and Congress party at Heingang Assembly Constituency yesterday afternoon be probed thoroughly so as to dispense necessary justice at the earliest.

Addressing a press conference at the office of MSCP today, party spokesman Debabratta said his party approached the authorities concerned as the charges levelled against the party general secretary Kh Romason that he fired at the brother of Congress candidate N Biren is totally false.

MSCP candidate Mangi who also addressed the press conference appealed to all the political leaders to ensure no more clashes take place among the political workers after the end of the election.

While pointing out that instances of confrontation and clashes between workers of MPP and Congress had taken place in the run up to the election in Heingang AC, Mangi maintained that he had never indulged in any unruly behaviour or conduct in his more than decade-long political career.

Kh Romason, who was also present at the occasion said he sincerely regrets and apologise for accidentally splashing slushy water on others while driving, but added that to torch the house of anyone over such a minor incident is really condemnable.

He also vehemently denied the charges of firing at any body yesterday.
