Imphal, December 22: Even as all the political parties are gearing up for the upcoming Assembly elections, the SPF Legislature Party convened a meeting today to discuss the DPC results for appointment of employees in the Education, Health and Home Departments today.

Members present at the meeting strongly opined that these results have discredited the SPF Govt and demanded that accountability be fixed before December 25. The task of fixing the responsibility was entrusted to the Steering Committee of the SPF which is expected to hold a meeting on December 24.The members present made it clear that the recent DPC results have cast the SPF Govt in bad light and those responsible should be pulled up.

The meeting was chaired by Th Debendra as Chief Minister-in-charge as Chief Minister O Ibobi is out of station.

Significantly, MPCC (I) president Gaikhangam was conspicuously absent Clearly peeved with the new developments, the CPI which is a major partner of the SPF has decided to hold a meeting and take an independent decision, said sources.

Today's meeting was held as scheduled by Chief Minister O Ibobi earlier.
