Imphal, June 20: Condemning the placing of a bomb at the work shed of Ketawn, an embroidery and knitting centre located at Yumnam Leikai Nambul Mapal on June 15, women workers in various embroidery centres have appealed to all concerned to restrain from repeating such threat in any of the embroidery centres in future.

Talking to mediapersons in this connection at Manipur Press Club here this afternoon, women workers observed that the livelihood of many of the women is dependent on the embroidery centres.

So demanding money from embroidery centres and then threatening with bomb if the demand is not met, shows women are not being respected and given their due rights in the society.

They fervently appealed to ensure such incidents of placing bomb in embroidery centres and creating fear psychosis among the poor women workers do not recur.
