Imphal, November 21: A suspected militant was shot dead by Imphal East police commandos and 32 AR personnel during a shoot out at Uchekon Taokhok Mapan today at about 7.40 pm, said police sources.

One 9 mm pistol with five live rounds were recovered from the slain youth.

Meanwhile a man was found dead near the southern goal post of Mapal Kangjeibung at about 6.30 pm yesterday.

The deceased who appeared to be about 36 years had fair complexion and was thickly built.

He has a rounded face and black hair.

The corpse has been deposited at RIMS mortuary.
