Imphal, May 09: Two persons who identified themselves as activists of the proscribed KCP outfit reportedly left a bomb saying it is a gift for the principal of the Standard Robarth English Higher Secondary School located at Canchipur today.

According to information received by the press, at around noon today, the two KCP activists entered the school campus and requested to meet the Principal and the Administrator in connection with admission matter.

As the staff of the school informed the two visitors that both the Principal and the Administrator were not present, they left a Chinese-made hand grenade wrapped in a newspaper at the admission counter of the school telling the staff that it was a gift for the Principal.

Soon after that the two KCP activists left the place through school gate.

They reportedly left boarding a Tata Magic Taxi.

The incident occurred during the morning and evening shift of the examination currently underway in the school.

Police have retrieved the bomb.
