Imphal, April 27: A suspected UG was slain today in an encounter with 7 Assam Rifles at around 2 am at Wangoo Sandangkhong under Kumbi Police station.

One 9 mm pistol along with five bullets were recovered from his possession.

The corpse has been deposited at RIMS morgue for identification.

Meanwhile, the corpse of the suspected KRA activist slain on April 25 in an encounter with Imphal West Commandos at Kongpal Sajor Leikai is still lying unclaimed at RIMS morgue.

The slain youth appears to be of about 27 years and has wheatish complexion.

He wore a brown Tshirt with a black pant and a black shoe.

The corpse would be disposed off if the body is not claimed by 4 pm of April 28, said a press release of Porompat Police OC.
