Imphal, June 18: Result of the recruitment test for setting up of the Special Police Officers (SPOs) in Heirok has been declared today and on completion of issuance of appointment orders by the Deputy Commissioner Thoubal district training of the SPOs for one month duration would commence.

Following demands from the people of Heirok for provision of weapons to protect themselves recruitment rallies were conducted on May 5 and June 11 .

The list of selected individuals is put on display only at Heirok proper, informed source said while adding that soon after completion of the training arms would be provided to activate the SPOs.
