Imphal, April 05: While strongly condemning the alleged denial of entry to the residence of Minister L Jayantakumar who is also the MLA of Keishamthong Assembly constituency by security personnel, the JAC Against the Brutal Killing of L Uttam Kumar has sought support and cooperation from the people of Manipur towards its movement for justice.

A statement issued by the JAC conveyed that a large number of people including women went to meet Jayantakumar at his residence at about 4 pm today.

However, the people were not only denied meeting with the Minister but also abused with unparliamentary words.

The JAC also accused Minister Jayantakumar of deliberately scheming to avoid meeting with the people.

Reiterating that the JAC has made all preparations to launch more intense forms of agitation, the JAC decried the alleged physical abuse, arrest and harassment of the people of Keishamthong A/C being perpetrated at the behest of Chief Minister O Ibobi in the aftermath of the killing of Longjam Uttam Kumar by police commandos clad in civilian clothes at his own home.

The JAC also sought support and cooperation from the people and social organisations of the State towards its movement for justice.
