In connection with the Magisterial Inquiry into the killing of 11 persons in different violent related incidents at Moreh on June 9, Additional District Magistrate of Moreh TH Chothe has sought submission of evidences related to the incidents within July 7.The terms of reference of the inquiry instituted by an Government order on June 12 include to ascertain the cases of the incidents and to fix responsibility and to suggest remedial measures to prevent recurrence of such incidents in future.
Issuing a notification in this regard, Additional District Magistrate of Moreh TH Chothe who has been appointed to conduct the inquiry has asked all the persons who are willing/desirous to give oral evidence or produce any material/documents before the Inquiry office to submit his/her particulars in a plain paper address to him during office hours on or before July 7.The inquiry would be conducted at the court room of the Additional District Magistrate, Moreh.
The particulars to be submitted should mention the full name along with name of father and mother, full address at which the person will be available if notice is to be served, age, occupation and circumstances prompting the person to give evidence (s).
In the recent spate of violent incidents at the border town, Doumang Haokip (30) s/o Ngulkhai Haokip of Chavangphai Moreh Ward No.7, Tongkholun Sitlhou (17) s/o Mangminthang Sitlhou of Canan Veng, Moreh Ward No.7, Hemjang Lhungdim (30), h/o Hoikhokim of S Moljol village, Lhunkholal Haokip (19) s/o Yamkhopao of Chavangphai Moreh ward no.7 and Lhunkhomang Misao (25) s/o Haokam Misao of Chavangphai Moreh ward no.7 were killed in the morning of June 9.Later on six more persons namely Chingakham Mani (36) s/o late Ch Motana of Moreh ward no.2, Soibam Itocha (19) s/o S Megha of Khurai Sajor Leikai, Likmabam Bungcha (25), s/o L Amutombi of , his younger brother Likmabam Bungo (20), Oinam Nilamani (30) s/o O Amudon and Yanglem Pikpa alias Romesh (18) s/o late Y Babu, all residents of Khurai Konsam Leikai were found killed near border bridge the same day.
