Is your children going for tutorials ?

Private tuition, a rising new culture of manipur. Nowadays every single student went for private tutorial either at coaching centre or at home of teachers to gain extra knowledge.

From educational point of view it might be good for them since they may learn more of or clearly understand the topic which they didn't at school. But knowledge isn't only the thing that matters in tutorial places. It also kinda affect the mind, nature, behavior and attitude of the student.

You see, students go for tuition for the sake of improving their knowldege. Lets forget about the knowledge, everybody have their own capabilities. But there are many things that they do when they reach the place which the parent didn't barely know. Parent send their children to tutorial centre right from kindergarden standard.

I think its okay with current trends of manipur, but seriously we need to considered with that of 6-10th. Students of these group are much early stage of teens. Teens as we know are like soft clay, can be moulded in any shape, may even wash away with rain. What I am trying to say is that those soft and innocent heart of student may have the impression of romance, love, fashion and other fantasies.

I am also a student and have experience the same way. I was then 12th now I am 2nd year but when it comes to young aspiring student, I don't feel like it is good for them if they are indulging much in useless activities. It is also impossible to stop the feeling of them. Tuition centre is place where students of both gender gather from different place. Surely at their age sumone is going to fall for other.

And I don't mean all the students. There are many brialliant students but on average we are to take care of the situation. Parent may have better experience in this but the fact is, they are sending their children looking forward to see them learned more.

I don't know whether they are on it or not. A parent knows every ounce of their children. But what I care is that the students are experiencing the feeling of what we called love/crush at such an early age.

Love and romance cannot go together, one is sure to fallback. If love dominates thestudnt is helpless, on the other it may help them achieved their dreams. This happens to me (just kidding). Above all, whatever it is, its far better enough if the students were concern about their study and future career only. They must not let themselve lead in wrong path.

Moreover they may like to catch high end gadgets like mobiles, media player, ipod etc because there friends and senior do, demanding their parents to spend more. Parents may quite strict of their children, but there always a way the children turn out of them.

Sometimes they insisted their parents not to drop them to tuition centre as they felt embarassing, instead they would like to go on by themselves alone or with friends on a vehicle urging their parents to buy new vehicle. So the problem arise for them regarding traffic rule as they are not permitted to drive any vehicle below particular age.

And once they take on vehicle they do whatever they like, bunking roaming, dating, making gundaism. etc. They learn to tell lies to parents, they felt the need of fashion to impress one another. So naturally love and romance step in.

Mobiles helps them a lot. Nowadays mobile phones love stories are more romantic than films and dramas. If it happens at such their age,there life may ruin as the chance of concentrating on their study become less. Their friends circle expand which makes them to waste more time and money.

When they are together it is likely that something silly ideas grow in there mind and might put in practical. It is worth mentioning that the ideas they evoke may not be of good things. As such their mind, behavior, attitude and nature changes as I have said earlier.

We need to think of consequences that we may face if they are shaped in above mention ways. There are lots to ruin a student life and only a few step to succeed. I don't have any ideas whether to say the persisting condition of young students of manipur is right or wrong but I do like to bring a little changes in the society.

Possibly it can't be help, in my opinion or it will be a bit hard. And there is not much to say about teachers, they are earning their livelihood. They have serve the best for students, have given enough advice but if the students didn't take it, its not their faults. The question is whether will it be responsible for the students or the parents or the new culture?
