Kabuis celebrates the Gudui-Ngai festival during the sowing season in April. The festival is celebrated by drinking juice of ginger after having cleared the fields for sowing. A tug-of-war is held between the men and women symbolising the competition between the Gods and Goddesses. If the war is won by the girls, it is a good omen, symbolic of a bumper harvest in the coming season.
The Gudui Ngai festival is celebrated at Moirangkhom , Imphal and other village on May 23 2013 where the young and olds are indulge in pouring water to each other.
