An eight-foot long python captured at Kumbi Khuga Wangma, Bishnupur and handed over by PFA to State Zoo :: January 11 2013

An eight-foot long python was captured at the garden of one Wahengbam Modhuchandra of Kumbi Khuga Wangma in Bishnupur district on January 11 2013.
Stretching over 8 feet, the rare reptile species which is listed under Scheduled-1 (most endangered animals in the country) under the Protection of Wildlife Act, 1972 was captured from Kumbi Khuga Wangma in Bishnupur district.
The owner of the garden came across the python while sanitising the garden.
The captured python was handed over to members of People for Animal (PFA) by Modhuchandra and later PFA bring up the Python to imphal hand over to sate zoo authority.
