Assam Rifles arrested Satish and his friend Gunindro on 16th May 2009. Satish's dead body was found on 17th May and AR claimed that Satish die in an encounter under Lamlai police station. Court released Gunindro on May 22 2009. The women folk took out protest rally and submit memorandum to MLA I Hemchandra's residence at Singjamei on May 23rd 2009.
