Deserted market scene from the 120 Hours' General Strike called by Democratic Students Alliance Manipur (DESAM) on July 16 2009.
Recently Police arrested 5 students and detained them under National Security Act (NSA) and sent to jail. The students organisation DESAM called this general strike demanding the release of those 5 students without any condition starting July 16 2009. Whole markets is totally paralysed, security force announced general strike supporters will be arrested.
