MPA, TRAU, AL-AMEEN cruise in MNCA U-16 Boy's Naorem Rajningthou Trophy

MPA, TRAU and AL-AMEEN notched up comfortable victories in the 5th MNCA U-16 Boys Naorem Rajningthou Singh Memorial Trophy 2024-25 on Wednesday.
MPA thrashed RULE by 152 runs at Khudeiband Lampak, Taothong (Lamshang) .
Batting first, MPA posted a total of 185/10 in 30.4 overs.
Key contributors in their innings were Rojit Thoudam (33), Th Chinglensana (26), Chongtham Sitaranjan Singh (26), Ch Yohenba (15) and Chongtham Priyokumar (10) .
In the process, they lost 3 wickets to Indrakumar Singh Sanjenbam and 2 wickets each to Ng Nongpoknganba, Kh Sanjaikar and Denin Nahakpam.
MPA then produced a lethal bowling attack to dismantle RULE'S batting order in 18.4 overs for a meagre 33.Elangbam Sanatomba Meitei was instrumental in MPA's comprehensive win, claiming 5 scalps.
Ch Muhinikanta, on the other hand, took 3 wickets while Chongtham Sitaranjan contributed 2 .
TRAU handed out a crushing 78-run defeat to CYSA at Public Ground, Khangabok Part-III Cherapur, Thoubal.
TRAU chose to bat and garnered 225/7 in their 35 overs, riding on a collective batting performance courtesy of Potsangbam Jeet Singh (40 not out), Huiningshumbam Luching (40), Tyrus Chabungbam (32), Mutum Swabhiman (26), Potsangbam Jeet Singh (15) and Ishorchandra Loitongbam (10).In reply, CYSA were bowled out for 147 in 24.5 overs as Wangmem Aijak's gritty 62 went in vain.
Mutum Swabhiman was the chief destroyer for TRAU with an impressive 5-wicket haul.
Preethson Arubam did his bit with 3 wickets while Ringku Moiranthem and Tyrus Chabungbam took 1 wicket apiece.
Earlier, Ningthoujam Sanamacha, Ningthoujam Abungcha and Wangmem Atomba each picked up 2 wickets for CYSA.
Elswhere, AL-AMEEN beat YWC by 43 runs.
Opting to bat, AL-AMEEN got dismissed for 158 in 28.5 overs as Shohei Akter (36) and Imtiyas Khan (34) scored in double digits in their innings.
For YWC, Yumnan Sushil claimed 4 wickets while Yumnam Brightson took 3 .
AL-AMEEN then bowled effectively to skittle out their opponents for 115 in 21 overs.
Umar led the attack, taking 3 wickets as Arish Taenww, Shohel Akter, Md Duwa Aziz and Makak Mayum Rashid Ahamed each took 1 wicket in their triumph.
