Wattaba Meitei named India's best cyclist in junior category

Imphal, December 27 2024:
Cycling Federation of India (CFI) has named Mayanglambam Wattaba Meitei as the Best Cyclist in India for track events in the junior men's category for 2024 .
The announcement was made during CFI's Annual General Body Meeting held at Hotel Bel La Monde, New Delhi.

"As per our ranking system, your consistent and impressive results in various national and international competitions have earned you the top spot among the country's best cyclists.
Your achievements have not only brought glory to yourself but also to the sport of cycling in India", the CFI said in a letter of congratulations to Mayanglambam Wattaba Meitei.
Hailing from Kakching Wairi Khullakpam Leikai, Wattaba is the son of Mayanglambam Manihar Meitei and Mayanglambam Manda Leima.
Over the years, he has made a name for himself by securing multiple medals in national competitions.
His international accolades include competing in the Junior Track World Championships in China and winning a silver medal at the Asian Track Championships held in India.
