6 A-Side Football Tournament: SSYC lifts winner's trophy by toss

Imphal, December 24, 2013:
SSYC Sairem crushed NYC to lift the winner's trophy in the final match decided by toss of the 1st Palmeipui Kamaopi Memorial Zeliangrong 6 A-Side Football Tournament 2013 played at Sawombung Sairem Play Ground in Imphal East district.
The tournament was organized by Sawombung Sairem Youth Club under the sponsorship of Palmei Angousana Kabui, president, SSYC.
Paipangai of SSYC scored the first goal of the match in the 2nd minute of the match.
As the match went on, G.Golmei of NYC equalized the score tally in the 17th minute of the match.
After scoring one goal by each, both the teams could do nothing much till the final whistle of the first half of the game.
Even in the extra time added time, all the players failed to produce convert any goal and the fate of the game was decided through penalty shoots.
In the penalty kick, each team scored 4 goals each.
Again they had to try with the help of toss.
When the coin falls down on the ground, luckily SSYC team was awarded winner's title.
G.Golmei of NYC was awarded man of the match.
The award of Best defender went to Poulinmei of NYC.
Anthony Kamei of SSYC bagged top scorer award.
Best player was awarded to Christopher Kamei of NYC.
Best GK was given to Dihempu of SSYC while most valuable player award went to Gandhi of KYC.
JU University team was honoured with best discipline team award.
A cash prize of Rs.20,000 and Rs.10,000 were would be given the winner and runners up teams of the tournament.
