1st State Level Mini Boys Volleyball Tournament begins

Imphal, March 24 2018: The 1st State Level Mini Boys Volleyball Tournament organised by Social Development Institute under the supervision of All Manipur Volleyball Association kick-started today at volleyball court of Ishok Awang Leikai in the presence of Longjam Umabati, Member Ward No 3- Ishok GP, Yumnam Laashi Devi, Member Ward No.1, Ishok GP, W Naobi Singh, Member Ward no.3, Ishok GP as dignitaries.

The tournament features 6 teams being clubbed into 2 groups.

The opening match ( Group B league match) of the tournament saw, SDC, Samurou beat hosts SDI 25-8, 25-18, 25-20 .

In the group A league match of the day, IGO, Oinam edged past SWYC, Santipur by 3-1 sets.

IGO conceded the first set before staging a strong comeback to beat SWYC 18-25, 25-19, 25-22, 25-21 .

NYVA, Naorem will meet SDI in the first Group B league match tomorrow at 7 am.

IGO will meet Bakhe, Lamphel Sanakeithel in a Group A league match latter while NYVA Naorem will meet SDC in the last Group A league match.

Bakhe will take on SWYC, Shantipur in the last Group A league match.
