MU bag two medals in inter varsity boxing

Imphal, January 23 2024: Manipur University bagged two medals in the ongoing All India Inter Zonal Inter University Boxing (W) Competition 2023-24 at Lovely Professional University, Phagwara, Punjab.

Th Kunjarani Devi (Pravabati College) suffered a 0-5 defeat to Poonam Kaithwas of SGB Amravati University, Maharashtra in their 60kg category final match to settle for the silver medal.

On the other hand, Th Premeshori Devi (Pravabati College) took the bronze medal in the 67kg category after losing 0-5 in the semifinal to Arya Barttake of Karmaveer Bhaurao Patil University, Satara, Maharashtra.

The two medallists Th Kunjarani Devi and Th Premeshori Devi as well E Thoithoi Cha-nu (50kg) of TS Paul Manipur Women's College qualified for the 4th Khelo India University Games 2023-24, which will take place in February, 2024 .
