Imphal, February 22 2015: William's scintillating half-century helped SSC, Irilbung defeat ETL, Thongju by 96 runs and annex the BK Trophy on Sunday.

William scored 59 from 32 balls to take SSC to 166 for 5 in the allotted 20 overs after they chose to bat on winning the toss.

Compatriots Sunil, who smashed 40 runs from 13 balls, Lamba (22) and Rahul (19) also played their parts in propelling the total to a formidable one.

Bingson picked up two wickets for ETL while Deepu, Ronald and Guru got one wicket each.

On the other hand, Robinson and Lamba wrecked ETL's innings grabbing four and three wickets respectively while Nicky (2) and Sanjay (1) shared the remaining wickets.

Prominent scorers for ETL team whose challenge ceased in 15.5 overs after being bowled out for 70 were Kishan (18) and Samarjit (13) .

The man of match award was given to William of SSC while Lincoln of ETL walked away with the man of the series award.
