Hijam Irabot MPS lift Private Schools Sports (Football) trophy

Imphal, May 21 2015 : Hijam Irabot Memorial Public School (HIMPS), Lanjing Athouba emerged as the champion of the 1st All Manipur Recognized Private School's Sport's Meet organized by All Manipur Recognized Private School's Welfare Association (AMRPSWA) at TH Birchandra Singh Football Academy Ground, Taonungkhok on Thursday by defeating Kids High School, Dewlahland.

Hijam Irabot Memorial Public School scored at will against Kids High School, Dewlahland in the final match.

HIMPS began from where they left in semifinals and started scoring goals from the early minute of the match to stunned Kids High School players.

Th Kishan scored the first goal of the final match in 4th min to hand over the lead HIMPS.

The early goal rattled the Kids High School players and they never recovered from the shock.

S Netrajit extended the lead in 7th min.

HIMPS went into the break with 2-0 lead.

After change of ends, Kids High School did try to come back into the match but the solid defense line of HIMPS did not offer any scoring opportunities.

Tolen Khomba took the match and title beyond the reach of Kids High School by scoring a goal in 45th min.

Ng completes the humiliation by adding two quick goals in 60th and 63th min.

At the final whistle, Hijam Irabot Memorial Public School (HIMPS), Lanjing Athouba became the proud winner of first edition of Private schools football trophy.

Ng Jennis and M Romario Singh of Hijam Irabot Memorial Public School were adjudged as the Top Scorer and Best Goalkeeper of the tournament while Nain Rana of Kids High School was honoured with Best Player of the final match.

The final match was graced by RK Anand, MLA, Naoriya Pakhanglakpa Assembly Constituency; Ph Landhoni Devi, President, All Manipur Recognised Private Schools' Welfare Association and S Khurailakpa, President, TH Birchandra Singh Football Academy amongst others.
