Imphal, March 21 2025: In an action-packed day, X-Polo Club and Thangmeiband YPC clinched their spots in the semifinals of the 37th N Hazari & Dr N Tombi State Polo Tournament 2025 after securing victories in their respective quarterfinal matches on Friday.

The first quarterfinal saw X-Polo Club narrowly defeat Chingkheihunba PC in a nail-biting 8-7 encounter.

The match was a showcase of skill and determination, with Th Santosh and L Atangba emerging as the heroes for X-Polo Club, each scoring a hat-trick.

Th Jacob also made a significant contribution with a double.

On the opposing side, Chingkheihunba PC put up a valiant effort, led by Leishemba Takhellambam, who collected a treble.

O Rozer added a double, while Th Kaoba and A Basanta each scored once, but their efforts fell just short of victory.

In the second quarterfinal, Thangmeiband YPC dominated MPSC-A with an 8-5 win, securing their place in the semifinals.

M Chaoba was the standout performer, scoring a hat-trick to lead his team to victory.

S Saolin Singh and K Yaikhomba also made crucial contributions, each scoring a double, while W Abothe added a single goal to the tally.

For MPSC-A, Y Binoy fought hard with a double, supported by M Jawan, Th Ranjit and Th Romen, who each scored once, but it wasn't enough to overcome Thangmeiband's relentless attack.
