Jersey distribution function held at Eastern Sporting Union (ESU)

Imphal, March 21 2018: A Jersey and kits distribution function along with a prayer ceremony for the ESU Women Football team who will compete in the upcoming 2nd Indian Women League 2017-18 was held today at the office Eastern Sporting Union, Wangkhei Palace Compound.

The jersey distribution function was graced by RK Nimai, secretary ESU, O Rajbihari, member ESU, K Nogen, retired Deputy Commandent, CRPF, H Sadananda, actor, Tikendrajit, YVU Dairy etc as dignitaries.

AFC-B licence holder and head coach of ESU, O Bembem expressed that two teams from the State, ESU and KRYPHSA which will be participating in the tournament need to work harder as various teams from other States will be featuring foreign players with higher skills. O Bembem further said that, "The State team will display better performance in the tournament as the players are quite young and energetic and eager to showcase their talent at the higher level" .

ESU team will comprise of the following players: Panthoi Chanu, Monika, Radharani, Umabati, Achoubi, Sweety, Thahenbi, Manisha, Manda, Ranji, Anjali, Sultana, Pinku, Premi, Premeshwori, Kamala, Kashmina, Roja, Rinaroy, Pramodini, and Lomching .

The will be led by O Bembem as head coach; RK Amusana as assistant coach; and support staff C Leima as Physio and A Premjit as manager.
