5th AMFIMPA Cup 2019 underway

Imphal, January 20 2019: The 5th AMFIMPA Cup-2019 being organised by All Manipur Film Makers' and Producers' Association kicked off today at NESU Ground, Porompat in the presence of Thangjam Arunkumar, president NEROCA FC; P Renedy, former Indian football team captain; P Prafullo, president ISTV Network; Angtha Tombi; K Narendrajit, president NESU; RK Chandrakumar, president AMFIMPA and S Mangoljao, chairman, Film Forum Manipur as dignitaries.

A total of 8 teams clubbed into two groups are participating in this tournament.

The opening match of the tournament saw, Director FC sealed a 3-1 win against AMMIK-C FC .

Goals for the Director FC was scored by Banker (11', 56') and Ajit Ningthouja (22') while the lone goal of the losing side was scored by Bhubon in the 28th minute.

The second match of the tournament saw AMMIK-B FC secure an emphatic 5-1 win against Actor FC .

Bimol (23'), Ariya Sapam (24'), Jonson (35', 41') and Boboi (55') scored for the winning side while I Khaba scored the face saving goal for the actor FC in the 44th minute.
