USA to fight NEROCA in MSL semifinal

Imphal, October 19 2014: NEROCA Sangakpham and USA Khurai will fight in the second semifinal match of the ongoing 9th Manipur State League 2014 is being organised by All Manipur Football Association (AMFA) under the sponsorship of MLA Khumukcham Joykisan at Mapal Kangjeibung.

In the first ground, NEROCA blanked out MPSC by 2-0 goals.

MPSC scored one goal each in the first half and second half time.

The first chance came from a free kick of Y Chingkhei in the 24th minute to keep NEROCA in a comfortable place.

MPSC players had some chances to equalize the score in the first half time but strong NEROCA defenders blocked all their attempts.

Thus, NEROCA led the first half by 1-nil.A Chakrapati assured NEROCA for a seminal berth in the 76th minute.

Y Chingkhei of NEROCA, Ksh Kanta, M Somochandra and O Somendro of MPSC were booked yellow cards during the match.

In second match, USA defeated AIM by 2-1.There was goalless stalemate in the break time, all the goals of this match were scored during the second half time.

K Falguni of USA broke the deadlock just after two minutes of the second half.

Teammate L Milan scored their second goal in the 54th minute.

AIM pulled one goal back in the 70th minute after W Daniel converted S Basanta's throw-in.

As both the teams could not score any further goal during the normal time, USA beat AIM to face NEROCA at 1.30 pm on October 21 .
