Imphal, February 18 2025: FC Lamjao and UPAA eked out wins in Tuesday's fixtures of the 17th Manipur State League 2024-25 at Artificial Turf Ground, Lamlong Thongkhong.

UPAA clinched a slender 1-0 victory over Rahee UC in a tightly contested affair, with Khaidem Rajanikanta Singh proving the match-winner.

The decisive moment arrived in the 35th minute when Singh, capitalising on a well-worked move, slotted home to hand his side a first-half advantage.

Rahee UC rallied after the break, applying sustained pressure in search of an equaliser, but UPAA's resolute backline stood firm to preserve their clean sheet and secure all three points.

The day's second fixture saw FC Lamjao claim a 2-1 win against AFC in a pulsating contest.

Elangbam Joykison set the tone early, coolly converting a 16th-minute penalty to hand Lamjao the lead.

Ningthoujam Abungton then doubled the advantage with a clinical finish, capitalising on defensive frailty to seemingly put the game beyond reach.

However, AFC rallied valiantly, with Wahengbam Tejkumar reigniting their hopes in the 68th minute.

Despite AFC's late surge, Lamjao displayed commendable composure to weather the storm, ensuring their narrow margin held firm until full-time.
