NEROCA FC, first State team to participate in I-League 2nd Div

Imphal, October 16 2015 : The North Eastern Re-Organising Cultural Association Football Club (NEROCA FC), Sangakpam will be the first State team to participate in the forthcoming I-League Second Division to be held from November 14 .

Altogether 11 teams - Mohammedan Sporting (MDSP), Kolkata; Gangtok Himalayan SC (GHSC), Gangtok; Guwahati FC (GFC), Guwahati; Fateh Hyderabad FC (FHFC), Hyderabad; NEROCA FC, Imphal; Dempo Sports Club (DEM), Goa; PIFA Sports (PIFA), Mumbai; Kenkre Sports (KEN), Mumbai; DSK Shivajians (DSK), Pune; Minerva Academy FC (MAFC), Ludhiana and Loanstar Kashmir FC (LFKC), Jammu/Srinagar are participating in the league.

NEROCA FC have four home and away matches wherein the home ground for the NEROCA FC will be Khuman Lampak Main Stadium.

It may be mentioned that, NEROCA, Sangakpham was established in 1965 to promote quality of youth in the field of cultural activities and sports arena.

Later, NEROCA was changed to NEROCA FC Pvt Ltd in 2015 with their working office at Hotel Classic Grande, Chingmeirong East.

NEROCA FC began their winning path in 1999 with the championship trophy of the RK Tulachandra Memorial Football Tournament held at Imphal followed by Siroy Lily, Ukhrul-2000; 44th Sir Churachand KCSI Trophy (CC Meet-2000); 1st Nar Singh Tournament (2001); Imphal East District League (2001); Winners Cup (2001); Padmajung, Tripura (2001); Imphal East District League (2002); Surendra Cup (2002); 1st Futsal (2003); Imphal East District Super Division League (2003); Winners Cup (2003); Futsal Cup (2004); 1stTiddim Trophy (2004); Ashem Noren Memorial (2004); Futsal Cup (2005); 3rd Tiddim Trophy (2006); L Sharatchandra Memorial (2006); 55th CC Meet (2011); 56th CC Meet (2012) and participated the Manipur State League (MSL) since the beginning and stood 2nd Position in the Second Edition of MSL in 2007 and got the Champion Trophy in the last 9th MSL in 2014, informed a statement issued by NEROCA FC.
