Imphal, July 16 2024: Assam Rifles organised a friendly volleyball match for Torbung village, Churachandpur district on Tuesday.

The match themed "Healthy Mind Resides in A Healthy Body" aimed to encourage youngsters to live a healthy and active lifestyle.

Players from neighbouring villages participated in the match, which also identified local talent and motivated them to join the Indian Armed Forces through various sports schemes.

A variety of sports kits were also distributed to the youth.

The local youngsters appreciated the initiative and asked for more such events in the future, said an IGAR (S) release.
