Women's U-15: PTRC crush YPHUC by 193 runs

Imphal, February 16 2025: In a dominant display, PTRC clinched an emphatic 193-run win over YPHUC in the last league round match of the 2nd MNCA Women's U-15 One Day Trophy 2024-25 at PCC Ground, Mayaikoibi, on Sunday.

Electing to bat first, PTRC overcame early setbacks as a top and middle-order collapse threatened their innings.

Rising star Laishram Bigyapati anchored the recovery with an unbeaten 98, showcasing composure under pressure.

She was ably supported by Laishram Benika (20*), who helped propel the total after Laitonjam Benita s brisk 38 .

Their collective effort powered PTRC to a formidable 296/5 in 50 overs.

For YPHUC, Mutum Divika Chanu spearheaded the bowling attack with three wickets, while Suchitra Devi Waikhom and Konjengbam Lembisana Chanu claimed one each.

In reply, YPHUC faltered against PTRC's disciplined bowling, crumbling to 103 all out in 27.1 overs.

Laishram Bigyapati starred again, bagging three wickets alongside Thockchom Dimple, who also scalped three.

The trio of Laitonjam Benita, Linthoi, and Narmada contributed with a wicket apiece, sealing a comprehensive victory for PTRC .

Final showdown set
The tournament now heads to its climax as AKSDO and THAU prepare to face off in the final on Monday, February 17, 2025, at THAU Ground, Thangmeiband.
