Wins for Changrangching, WSFC, ACSA, PSC in DC Chandel Trophy

Imphal, November 12 2021: Changrangching, Western Soldong FC, Aimol Chingnunghut SA and Panchai SC registered contrasting wins on the third day of the DC Chandel Trophy Football Tournament.

The first match played at the Chandel Mini Sports Complex saw Changrangching overpower Khoriibung 7-0 as DB Robert led the rout scoring five goals.

Robert opened the floodgates with a 35th-minute strike and he went on to extend the lead in the 44th minute before Shetnoi made it 3-0 in the 53rd minute.

Two minutes later, Robert netted his third goal to take his side to a 4-0 advantage as Morningson found the fifth goal in the 74th minute before Robert roared in action pumping in a double (76th, 79th) in the space of three minutes to steer Changrangching to a thumping victory.

Western Soldong FC, on the other hand, came from behind to beat Phunchung YC 2-1.Phunchung took the lead in the 46th minute through Damnahring before Phunchung turned things around with a goal each from Apanson (58th) and Ajule (69th).At MUGHSS playground, Aimol Chingnunghut SA registered a 3-2 win over Hei-bungkok YCC.

Lunkhosei opened the scoring for Aimol in the 6th minute and then Jangkhongam doubled the scoreline in the 15th minute before Hypia Jajo halved the deficit in the 22nd minute for Heibungkok.

Aimol got their momentum back in the 29th minute with Herochung on target as Jajo scored his second goal in the 80th minute for Heibungkok but Aimol held on to their 3-2 lead to clinch the match.

In the other match, Pan-chai SC overcame Penaching YC 2-1 as Royngam starred in his side's victory scoring both goals.
