Bishnupur to meet Imphal East in U-14 girls ultimate clash

Imphal, October 11 2019: Bishnupur will lock horns with Imphal East tomorrow at 9 am at Khuman Lampak Sports Complex in the ultimate clash of the U-14 girls' at the ongoing State Inter School Football Tournament for U-14 boys and girls organised Department of Youth Affairs and Sports.

The first semi-final match of the U-14 girls competition saw Bishnupur thrash Kakching by 7-0 goals as Th Sanjita (8', 26') and L Bijeiya (10', 23', 30') ripped apart the defence line of the Kakching side and scored at will.

Bishnupur girls slowed down the pace of the game in the latter half of the game after leading the first half 5-0 but L Aziya and Silky managed a goal each in the 45th and the 57th minute respectively to complete the 7-0 rout Kakching team which were unable to make an attack of note throughout the game.

Meanwhile in the second semi-final match, Anjali Gurumayum hit a hattrick in the second half (45', 49', 80') to give Imphal East a 3-0 win against Chandel.

In the U-14 boys' matches, Tamenglong down Jiribam 1-0, Imphal East thump Imphal West 3-0, Bishnupur beat Kakching 1-0, Churachandpur hold Imphal East to a goalless draw and Bishnupur thump Noney 2-0 .
