Robinhood leads NCA to victory in MNCA Plate final

Imphal, January 10 2025:
NCA (Ningthoukhong) outclassed KSDO (Kyamgei) by 90 runs to win the 9th MNCA Plate Tournament 2024-25 on Friday at Lairenjam Public Ground, Imphal.
Despite a shaky start, NCA posted a total of 167 in 34.3 overs after opting to bat first.
Angom Robinhood anchored their innings with a notable 66, supported by Moirangthem Karamachand's unbeaten 25 .
Contributions from L Ramdas (17) and Bobby Yumnam (15) also bolstered their score.
For KSDO, Lakimbur led the bowling attack with 3 scalps, while Tarique Aziz, Riyajuddin and Shah Jahan each took 2 wickets.
NCA then successfully defended their total, thanks to their bowlers who wiped out KSDO's batting lineup in 19.2 overs for a paltry 77 as Only Washim (14) managed double figures in their dismal run chase.
Shinoj Khwairakpam and L Sadananda were instrumental in NCA's comprehensive win, claiming 3 wickets apiece.
Angom Robinhood did his bit with 2 wickets, while Amarjeet Singh Rajkumar and Roshan Konthoujam contributed 1 each.
For their title triumph, NCA walked away with Rs 1,20,000 in prize money, while KSDO received Rs 80,000 .
Individual awards recognised outstanding performances throughout the tournament, including MPA's Huidrom Dhanashyam Meitei as the man of the series for his 346 runs and 17 wickets.
Nelson Keithellakpam of IBSA topped the run charts with 375 runs, while THAU's Khumukcham Romesh led in wickets taken with 25.Angom Robinhood of NCA was honoured as the man of the final match.
